About Us

Calvary Chapel of Charleston has been formed as a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we grow it is our desire to help families become whole, healthy, and strong Christians who are able to bring the light and love of Jesus into this hurting world.

We are a non-denominational church. We are not opposed to denominations as such, only to the over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's agape love, which is greater than any difference we possess. Without His love, we cannot claim to be Christians.
